Hybrid role with flexible working arrangements14 month contract roleAs the Research Projects Officer, you will play a key role in extracting and manipulating complex data sets from multiple sources with a sharp focus on diversity, audience consumption and demand, production levels, financing industry content, and employment trends.

Key Responsibilities: With direction from the Research Projects Lead, develop and deliver data-driven insights and research to inform industry and government stakeholders.Deliver industry research relating to internal and external sector policies, programs and incentives via desktop research, literature reviews, data analysis, quantitative and qualitative research.Work with the Research team to optimise the use of existing and new data sets to develop a deeper understanding of audience and content trends.Collaborate with other members of the Strategic Policy and Insights Unit to ensure accurate and relevant data sets are being collected, maintained and analysed effectively.Assist the Head of Strategic Policy and Insights and the Research Projects Lead with the drafting and proofing of strategic documents including research and policy briefs, backgrounders and submissions.Effectively communicate complex research findings to internal and external stakeholders.Skills and Experience Required: 3 years industry experience in applied quantitative and qualitative research such as social sciences, consumer and media research to inform policy and strategy.Demonstrated experience in research, analysis and communication of complex findings to stakeholders via reports or presentations.Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and their appropriateness in different decision making situations.Very strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and experience working with databases and visualisation and dashboard tools such as Power BI or Tableau.Strong organisational skills including the ability to work independently, respond to changing priorities and manage competing deadlines.Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders' expectations.High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy is essential.What's in it for you: The opportunity to work with a fantastically friendly team and get your teeth sunk into some interesting, insightful work.Flexible role, with hybrid working options.Supportive leadership team.This will be a short interview process, and we are looking to move forward with the right candidate ASAP.
