Coordinate and manage the ScreenED research project to develop a childhood eating disorders screening tool, collaborating with stakeholders across multiple states.Opportunity to develop an independent research career with support from the ScreenED Chief Investigator team.Salary packaging, subsidised health and wellbeing services, fitness and cultural clubs, Myki discounts, and a 25% discount on graduate courses to our staff and their immediate families!About the Role The ScreenED project, funded by the Medical Research Future Fund Million Minds Mental Health Research scheme, seeks a post-doctoral researcher or experienced project manager. This role will manage and coordinate efforts to develop a screening tool for detecting childhood eating disorders, involving collaboration with stakeholders across multiple states. The successful candidate will support the Chief Investigators in various project aspects, including development and adherence to research protocols, recruiting parent and child participants, data management and analysis, and final tool development. Your responsibilities will include: Submitting and managing human research ethics applications and supporting team adherence to all research, data management, safety, and ethics protocolsAdministering online surveys and conducting interviews to collect qualitative and quantitative data on the draft screening toolLiaising with and supporting local and interstate research sites to ensure project progress and protocol adherenceWho We Are Looking For The successful candidate will possess exceptional time management and strong collaborative skills, demonstrating adaptability to meet evolving project and stakeholder needs. They will have excellent written communication and academic writing abilities, confidence in handling human research ethics applications, and the ability to work both independently and within a team to achieve project goals. Additionally, they will value diversity, support collaboration with lived experience advocates, demonstrate high ethical standards and a commitment to robust research methods.
You will also have: PhD in a relevant area (e.g. psychology, public health) or previous training and experience in complex project management within mental health researchWillingness to adapt work plans or priorities to meet the needs of the project and stakeholders--including Chief Investigators, research staff, approving bodies such as ethics committees and funders--as these arise or changeExperience in data management and dataset preparationFor further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.
