About the Role
In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for recruiting suitable research candidates from hospital clinics and obtaining tissue samples. You will assist in the laboratory when required, including equipment maintenance, biosafety, and regulatory compliance. Working cooperatively with the Dimitriadis Lab team, you will support research in reproductive biology under the guidance of team leaders.
Your responsibilities will include: Identify potential new collection sites and encourage research participation.Liaise with scientists to determine sample requirements and clinical staff for subject identification.Collect and process tissue samples from operating theatres across various hospitals.Maintain records, databases, and provide clinical information related to sample collection.Who We Are Looking For
You will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant area of medical or biological science, with experience in clinical and laboratory settings. You possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute to independent and team-based research. You demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and engagement. You will also have:
High level of motivation, initiative, and capacity for flexibility and multi-tasking.Previous experience in a PC2 biological laboratory and knowledge of human reproductive biology is desirable.Additional Information
This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
