This is a research officer role that operates within a multi-disciplinary, hospital-based research unit to assist in the progression of specific paediatric research projects. The role has a broad range of duties that contribute to the design of research protocols, ensuring research governance protocols and requirements are met and recorded, data collection, entry, and support with statistical analysis. The position will work directly with a Chief Investigator on a day-to-day basis to achieve research KPIs for a specific research project, consistent with a research plan proposal. The overall purpose of the role is orientated toward supporting research activity and associated tasks required for effective research design, governance, and reporting/publication of research results.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

Knowledge of hospital systems and the electronic medical record will be highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to professionally disseminate information to stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships as part of an interprofessional health care team. Demonstrated ability to apply effective written and verbal communication skills to coordinate and manage the activities and reporting for this research study. An understanding of the relevant research guidelines, legislation, policies and practices, especially within the government hospital and health sector environment.
