This role supports a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ideas Grant, working to develop novel tools that measure people's experiences while riding and help design infrastructure that promotes cycling for diverse populations.You will project manage and conduct physiological experiments using a virtual reality (VR) bike simulator, perform data analysis, and contribute to the overall research effort. This role involves specialized equipment use, procedure development, and maintaining compliance with research protocols.Key Responsibilities:Manage and conduct physiological experiments using the VR bike simulatorCoordinate ethics submissions, participant recruitment, and trial managementPerform data collection, input, and analysis, preparing results in line with research objectivesEnsure compliance with research methodology, protocols, and safety regulationsAssist in preparing reports, literature reviews, and other documentationSupport the achievement of research outcomes through scheduling, administering experiments, and maintaining project timelinesContinuously improve research procedures and quality assurance standardsMaintain communication with colleagues, collaborators, and stakeholders to support research objectivesKey Selection Criteria:Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, or substantial relevant work experienceStrong analytical and technical skills, including data analysis and effective use of technical methodsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesDemonstrated project administration experience in supporting research projectsAbility to work independently and as part of a team under general supervisionStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and understanding of confidentiality principlesWell-developed communication skills, with experience drafting documentation and reportsHigh level of computer literacy, including experience with new software packagesExperience in physiological monitoring and conducting human experimentsApply today to join an innovative team working at the forefront of health and mobility research!About Monash UniversityAt Monash, work feels different.
