The Research Grants team aims to identify, develop and support new grant funding opportunities to build on the scale, quality and reach of UTS's research activities and deliver impact through the translation of outcomes into practical use.
About the Role
The Research Grants Officer (Post-Award) plays a critical role in the Research Grants team and contributes to the aim of maximising UTS research excellence and impact by building the quality and volume of grant funded research projects and collaborative research partnerships involving UTS researchers; and ensuring that grants are established and managed according to the funder's governance and reporting requirements.
As the Research Grants Officer, some of your responsibilities will include:
Deliver accurate and timely post-award support across Australian grant schemes.
Prepare grants related content for the monthly Research Opportunities Newsletter including information on funding, training, advice and research updates.
Assist researchers with preparation and execution of agreements, such as multi-institutional agreements.
Liaise with other institutions in the undertaking of post-award matters.
Liaise with the UTS researcher community to facilitate understanding of post-award matters.
With general direction, manage the acceptance of letters of award and standard agreements for grant funded research projects and fellowships.
At HEW 7, your additional responsibilities will include:
Lead the development of post-award management requirements.
Coordinate ARC 'End of Year' financial reporting under direction from the Post-Award Research Grants Manager.
Manage the acceptance of letters of award and standard agreements for grant funded research projects, and in addition fellowships and centres.

High-level organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise and carry out a diverse range of competing tasks to a high standard.

Experience working in a university or other public sector environment (desirable).
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $92,851 to $113,344 pa (HEW 6/7).
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is part-time 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) and the appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
