PRIMARY DETAIL
Exceptional development opportunity working with world-class researchers Build your academic networks and access cutting-edge facilities and technology Full-time, 2-year fixed-term with the possibility of renewal An excellent opportunity exists for a researcher to join the newly created Silicon Platforms Lab (SiP Lab) within the School of Engineering, Macquarie University.
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with deep sub-micron high-speed mixed signal design experience to contribute to research on next-generation communication and sensing systems.
You will be a part of a diverse and multidisciplinary team consisting of researchers in the Silicon Platforms Lab.
You will report to Professor Michael Boers and will:
Undertake research into novel architectures for data converters.
Implement high-speed ADC and DAC designs in deep sub-micron CMOS.
Collaborate with the team on novel architectures for communication and sensing systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early career researcher to conduct impactful research in Semiconductor, build new networks with world-leading researchers, author high-quality publications, and initiate and lead new projects and research proposals.
Candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
About Us
The Faculty of Science and Engineering offers both undergraduate and postgraduate Degree programs across a diverse range of disciplines.
The Faculty is also home to a number of world-class research centres.
The Faculty continues to grow links with industry by building partnerships with commercial, government, cultural, and professional organisations.
The SiP Lab is a newly formed, advanced hardware platforms and silicon chip design lab with advanced silicon system-on-chip (SoC) / system-in-package (SiP) capabilities.
The research focuses on key semiconductor industry trends in communications and sensing, as well as partnering with adjacent research teams across the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the wider University to integrate their own novel IP onto a silicon platform, with benefits anticipated in the fields of synthetic biology, photonics, and quantum technologies.
