The Research Fellow will conduct high-quality research at Deakin University's School of Psychology, focusing on co-designed interventions to improve the mental health of frontline healthcare workers and families for a project titled 'It's not over yet'. More specifically, this project focuses on co-designing interventions to improve the mental health and wellbeing of hospital-based healthcare workers, and their families affected by COVID-19. This work is essential to prevent significant mental illness, support family wellbeing, effectively direct health service resources and ensure the future stability of the healthcare system.

As a Research Fellow, you will:
Lead child related research activities within the project including ethics applications, recruitment of children and young people and communicating findings with this cohort.
Lead clinical translation activities for the project including intervention manual and clinical practice guidelines.
Oversee project budget with support from supervisor.
Successfully collaborate with key stakeholders including healthcare organisations, healthcare workers, partners and family members engaged with the project.
Oversee and facilitate the collection of qualitative and quantitative data related to young people for the project, analyse data, main data protocols and enter data into relevant databases in accordance with ethical guidelines.

To be successful, you'll have:
PhD (completed or nearing completion) in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions in qualitative methodologies and Delphi studies.
Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to maintain records for annual reports, ability to oversee a budget and manage timelines in research.
Demonstrated ability to liaise with (and or negotiate with) research partners and manage complex client and stakeholder expectations and needs.
Clinical skills in mental health related discipline (e.g. psychology, social work, nursing) would be a significant advantage.
