Job DescriptionThe School of Environment and Science offers programs in environmental, forensic, biomedical and general science which include options to combine data science with the common science majors to better equip our graduates for the digitally enabled workplace of the future.Project OverviewThe Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project aims to advance the efficiency and performance of alkaline electrolysis for hydrogen production.
This project focuses on the development and optimization of porous electrode materials to enhance the electrochemical activity and durability of the electrodes under high-rate alkaline conditions.The Research Fellow will play a critical role in the ARC-funded project, conducting high-level research to develop novel porous electrode materials.
The successful candidate will have a research-intensive portfolio and responsibility for materials synthesis, characterizations, electrochemical testing of the fabricated hydrogen electrode and testing the alkaline exchange membrane water electrolyzer on a day-to-day basis.
You will work closely with the supervisor for student supervision and project management.
The successful candidate will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, contribute to the design and execution of experiments, analyze data, and disseminate findings through high-impact publications and conferences.This is a fixed term (22.5 month), full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus.
