The Research Fellow will play a crucial role in developing quantitative approaches to uncrewed (drone) aircraft collision risk modelling using data, applied statistics, and practical aviation constraints/standards. Using multiple large datasets and supporting infrastructure, the collision risk models will be used to create new digital resources and information that enhance uncrewed mission planning, flight approval, airspace management, and regulatory applications. Such technologies will be tested with project partners and stakeholders, providing direct translation and commercialisation pathways.
