This interdisciplinary role involves collaboration across research themes within the Hub, engaging with industry partners, and sharing findings through field days, workshops, and publications. The position also supports graduate researcher development and requires expertise in soil science, environmental science, and data analysis.Your responsibilities will include:Significantly contribute towards the research effort of the team and to develop your research expertise with an increasing degree of autonomy.Under the guidance and support of Senior Academic staff conduct internationally competitive research, resulting in publications in high impact journals.Actively participate at Hub and School meetings and with guidance, contribute to planning activities or committee work to support capacity building in the School/discipline.Actively participate in research seminars and conferences to disseminate research findings as opportunities arise.Who We Are Looking ForYou will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary research teams and liaise with diverse stakeholders. Your strong organizational abilities will ensure you meet deadlines and complete projects efficiently.Additionally, you bring a demonstrated aptitude for research, with a solid publication record and experience presenting to academic, industry and lay audiences.You will also have:A PhD awarded in agriculture, soil science or closely related discipline.Demonstrated ability to prepare research reports and manuscripts for publication.Strong evidence of ability and desire to build an academic research career.Demonstrated ability to engage with relevant professional and industry bodies and stakeholders to foster collaborative partnerships.This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
