The Centre for Future Materials (CFM) at UniSQ delivers world-class research in the design and development of innovative materials for diverse engineering applications. CFM's true strength is in industrial engagement and development, to develop personnel, IP, new products, and open new sectors through collaborative research programs which utilise industry funding leveraged against state and national funding mechanisms to de-risk the cost of research and deliver maximum impact for industry, the funding body, and UniSQ. CFM is working closely with industry and other research institutions to develop cutting-edge technologies through fundamental research and industry application in advanced composites and concrete, and to provide solution-support to the community.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a research specialist to join our research centre to carry out cutting-edge research studies in aerated and 3D printed low-carbon emission concrete for bushfire resilient infrastructure.
What you'll do: Reporting to the Senior Lecturer (Civil Engineering), your research will focus on developing innovative, lightweight, and fire-resistant masonry blocks and facades for enhancing bushfire resiliency of housing and buildings using aerated concrete and concrete 3D printing technologies. Salary: Total remuneration range $91,140 to $122,268 pa (includes salary range of $77,008 to $103,311 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
