Full job description The opportunity:
As a Research Facility Manager:
Develop and implement operational and business plans related to research and development, compliance, and resource management.
Build trusted relationships with DAF researchers and technical staff and external researchers to capitalize on the use of Agtech equipment and resources.
Make informed, data-driven decisions and ensure the integrity of research, development, and extension projects and activities are respected to deliver positive outcomes for the industry.
Take opportunities for your own professional development and of the staff you supervise through performance capability planning and dedicated career development training programs.
Emerald is located a three-hour drive from Rockhampton and is the largest town in the Central Queensland Highlands.
You may be entitled to the following:
Locality allowance.
Housing may be available.
5 weeks recreation leave.
Relocation expenses.
What we are looking for:
(qualifications, registrations, experience) There are some qualifications and licenses that we see as essential. You must possess a:
Minimum of a Diploma or Associate Diploma in Agricultural or Animal Sciences or equivalent.
A current 'C' class drivers' license.
This role requires the ability to handle and operate both traditional and technologically advanced farming equipment. More than anything, you will have a positive attitude and make a great contribution to our team.
