Research Ethics and Governance CoordinatorApply now Job no: 576721Work type: Full timeLocation: Corporate Services - NSW MetropolitanCategories: Other About the opportunity Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation (RHRF) is seeking a full-time Research Ethics and Governance Coordinator who will join a small team of dedicated individuals working in this area.
Working within the National Research Unit of Ramsay Health Care, the successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to a network of Hospitals, Researchers, and Human Research Ethics Committees.
The successful candidate will liaise with Researchers and Clinical Trial Coordinators throughout Ramsay Health Care to provide advice and support in the development and design of research ethics and governance prior to review.
The position provides substantial administrative support in the submission of research proposals.
You will have the opportunity to make contributions to the strategic and operational plans, policies, and procedures relating to research management within Ramsay Health Care and Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation.
Your key responsibilities will include: Provide advice and support to researchers in the development and design of research governance applications and modifications prior to Ethics Committee and Facility review.Undertake timely reviews of research applications submitted to the National Research Unit.Liaise with researchers and clinical trial coordinators and other internal stakeholders regarding submissions.Provide support to the Ramsay Health Care HRECs, including coordinating research meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and follow-up with Researchers and Clinical Trial Coordinators to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of and comply with reporting obligations related to the research projects.Contribute to the development of the National Research Unit through continuous improvement and adoption of new initiatives.Maintenance and continuous improvement of the Research Ethics, Governance & Grants Database.Provide other general administrative support to the work area as required.About you As a Research Ethics and Governance Coordinator, you have:
Experience in a research-intensive environment, with prior exposure to clinical trials or other clinical research activities and knowledge of research ethics and governance.Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and prioritise workload during busy periods.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills.Knowledge of relevant codes and legislation related to human research ethics and research governance within Australia.Familiarity with using electronic research information management systems.Requirements A National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months may be asked of you.To Apply All applications must be lodged online.
