You will also have the opportunity to cross-skill by working on Research Grants for other parts of the University's Research Portfolio as needed.This is a unique job-share opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to get involved in the landmark Sydney Biomedical Accelerator project and contribute to world-class research being conducted by the University of Sydney.Your key responsibilities will be to:work in a dynamic team reporting into the Research Development Manager, Research operationsprovide high level advice on strategies to maximise the quality of research and optimise University researchers' access to funding both from government and industrywork with senior researchers, research leaders and PSUs to develop strategic and business plans for new research infrastructure initiativesrepresent the University to external organisations and funding bodies at state, national and international levels, maintaining effective relationships with key contactsidentify leading and emerging research infrastructure capability in individuals and groups in the University for strategic development opportunities at scale by successfully leveraging prizes, awards, and fellowshipsAbout youtertiary qualifications in a related field (a PhD would be highly regarded)proven ability to coordinate and manage research infrastructure grantsdemonstrated experience drafting research infrastructure grantsproven experience in developing networks, partnerships and collaborations within the Research Infrastructure domainhigh-level problem-solving and negotiation skillsexcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our COVID safety precautions which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
