Reporting into the global research and insights team, the primary responsibility of the research consultant role is to ensure that TELUS Health develops evidence-based strategic initiatives that can be implemented in our key client segments. You will be based in Australia but have global accountabilities.
You will be a key contributor to the development of our psychosocial risk management services and be positioned as a client-facing thought leader in the field of employee health and wellbeing. You will also support, as needed, client and business development managers in the deployment of a wellbeing strategy support tool (primarily across Australia and Southeast Asia).
You will have the opportunity to support TELUS Health's thought leadership through primary and secondary research and managing research partnerships with third parties.
Responsibilities
Contribute towards the development of TELUS Health's psychosocial risk management services
Support the deployment of the Workplace Strategy Index for Mental Health across the APAC region
Research and writing to support thought leadership and strategy
Support to client-facing teams in sales and client development
Develop and deploy strategic initiatives and client projects
Maintain and update knowledge on competitive landscape, to ensure proper positioning and communication of a unique value proposition
Manage partnerships and vendors
Maintain and develop industry and related knowledge regarding all aspects of wellbeing and in particular, practices that drive efficiency
Succeeding in the Research Consultant, Workplace Health & Wellbeing role will require the following core qualifications and skills
Qualifications in behavioural sciences. Postgraduate qualifications in Organisational/Business Psychology or a related management science is desired but not required.
At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Psychosocial hazard management
Assessment design, development, and analysis
Behaviour change analysis and execution
Client management, sales, or consulting
Expertise in at least one area of health and wellbeing – mental, physical, social or financial
Demonstrated experience leading research initiatives, including the design of surveys, interview and focus group protocols, as well as ideation and design thinking sessions
Strong ability to influence and lead without direct management relationships
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Well-developed business management, presentation and relationship selling skills
High level of accountability and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to objectively manage conflicting priorities
