NoOffer DescriptionBased in the Future Industries Institute at the Mawson Lakes campusPart-time (0.4 FTE), fixed term contract until 31 December 2025Commencement Salary: $96,929 (pro rata) per annum (plus 17% superannuation)About the RoleYou will contribute to the research efforts of the Future Industries Institute, and in particular will undertake research on the project titled "Ferromagnetic nanoparticles for targeted hyperthermia treatment of glioblastoma" via a Collaboration Agreement between the University of Newcastle and the University of South Australia.You will work to achieve project grant outcomes and will have experience in cell culture and assays related to cytotoxicity (especially DNA damage) in a nanomedicine context.Essential Skills and ExperienceA postgraduate qualification in an appropriate Science or Engineering area relevant to the research areaEvidence of high quality research output commensurate with the length of research career, which is published and presented in appropriate forumsExcellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated through written work such as research reports, research publications and educational materials, and through effective liaison with external partners, colleagues and studentsAbility to plan and execute testing and research with stakeholdersAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a research teamCultureAt the University of South Australia, we value workplace diversity and are committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and respectful work environment for all people.
