Work from home in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven or from our office on the UOW Innovation Campus.Part-time position: 20 hours per week - flexible hours.Applications Close 7th November, 2024.THE PEREGRINE CENTRE is a social impact studio which brings together the highest quality research, clinical expertise, and the voice of lived experience to innovate better human services. We are the proud recipient of the $5m Rural Mental Health Partnership with NSW Health. We are looking for a Research Associate with strong academic and clinical skills to help improve rural mental health practice through research and training.Minimum Qualifications:Doctorate level post-graduate qualifications in a mental health-related field.Clinical/Practice qualifications and experience as evidenced by AHPRA registration or similar.Advanced oral and written communication skills as evidenced by publications/presentations.High level of innovative thinking and ability to work independently.Competence with computer programs such as Microsoft Teams and SPSS.Advanced interpersonal skills with a strong ability to work with rural staff and other stakeholders.Police check, WWCC (or eligible to apply), Driver's Licence, Rights to work in Australia.Strong understanding of rural mental health practice in Australia.Key Duties:Literature searches and writing of reviews and summaries.Run research projects (with support in research design), including data gathering, analysis, and write-up.Run mental health training, such as book clubs and listening parties in the Shoalhaven area.Production of resources including practice toolkits and podcasts.Line management of Local Project Officers – This includes approval of Leave, Professional Development, and other requests as delegated by the Director.Prepare reports for the Research Governance Committee.Support administration of Small Project Grants application process including providing research design advice to applicants.Preparing advice for NSW Health Managers and Executives regarding rural mental health as directed.Work with a range of stakeholders to support the success of research projects, including recipients of the Small Project Grants. This may include assistance with research design, ethics applications, literature searches, data analysis, and reporting.Support the development and maintenance of digital platform and create content to support practice development in rural and regional mental health.Contribute to the strategic planning for the Rural Mental Health Partnership.Fixed term contract until Oct 2026 with extension possible. This job occasionally involves overnight travel; expenses will be paid by Peregrine.Email Director at (******) with any queries.
