Why Your Role Matters
Defence Trailblazer Program is an exciting partnership with industry and is strengthening Australia's defence capabilities and assets. The position will involve research activity in multidisciplinary settings requiring knowledge and skills in conducting aviation research, focusing on the use of Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Research Associate will contribute to conducting research activities, provide summary of results, and undertake a range of research administrative duties.
Who You Are (skills and experience):
A PhD in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning
Application of previous research in the fields of Aviation, Human Factors, or related discipline, and/or relevant work experience is preferred
Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and students
