Research Associate (Cognitive Misinformation Research)

As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will conduct collaborative experimental research exploring the impacts of misinformation and developing interventions to combat these impacts. You will engage with PhD and Honours students, as well as a network of local, national, and international collaborators. The project is funded by the Australian Research Council.To be considered for this opportunity, you will have: PhD in cognitive psychology or related fieldDemonstrated commitment in participating in high-quality research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles published in respected scholarly journals Demonstrated support of ethical principles and open-science proceduresCompetence in using experimental/survey software (incl. Qualtrics), statistical tools (incl. R), and online testing platforms (e.g., Amazon Mechanical Turk / Prolific)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to build effective and positive working relationships with diverse collaborators and stakeholdersKnowledge of and experience with artificial intelligence systems, including large-language models
