Join Phoenix Australia, a national leader in posttraumatic mental health, as a Research Assistant.
You will play a vital role in supporting cutting-edge research projects, including the NHMRC-funded DECODE study, which aims to identify biometric markers of PTSD treatment response.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable experience in conducting biometric experiments, administering clinical assessments, and contributing to groundbreaking research that advances our understanding of PTSD.
Your responsibilities will include: Participant Recruitment and Screening: Respond to inquiries, explain research studies, and screen participants for eligibility.Biometric Assessments: Conduct biometric experiments with participants, including fear extinction learning paradigms, trauma-script tasks, and physiological monitoring.Data Collection and Management: Administer questionnaires, interviews, and maintain project databases, ensuring accurate data tracking and compliance with ethical requirements.Research Support: Attend project meetings, assist with manuscript preparation, and perform general research tasks as delegated.You may be a great fit if: Possess an undergraduate degree with first-class Honours in psychology or a related mental health field or be working towards completing an Honours degree.Have prior administrative or research experience within a health, mental health, or clinical research environment.Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities.Display a willingness and enthusiasm to develop expertise in posttraumatic mental health.What we offer you!
