Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) Part time (40%), fixed-term position for up to 6 months, with possibility of extension Base salary will be in the range $64,963.44 - $71,505.71 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 3) Based at our St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity Research Assistant - Biomineral Nanomaterial Development for Sustainable Agriculture We are seeking a motivated and talented Research Assistant to join our dynamic research team. You will focus on the development and application of nanomaterials in agriculture, aiming to enhance crop productivity and sustainability.
You will be involved in a variety of tasks related to the development of nanotechnology-based agricultural products such as nanofertilizers and nanopesticides. You will work closely with PhD students and senior researchers to conduct experiments, analyze data, and contribute to publications.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge nanotechnology in a real-world agricultural context and to collaborate with leading researchers in this field.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, synthesis, and characterization of nanomaterials for agricultural use Conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of nanomaterials on plant growth and nutrient uptake Collect and analyze experimental data using advanced analytical techniques Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safety standards are followed Support the preparation of research reports and publications Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers About UQ As part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.
