Using your expertise in cryo-microtoming, TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy), XRD (X-ray Diffraction), and XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) you will significantly contribute to advancing the project's objectives.Core ResponsibilitiesUndertake research under limited supervision to achieve project grant outcomes; i.e. analysing the structure and properties of nanosheets and nanoparticles in elastomer compositesDesign and perform a range of experiments including appropriate controls to achieve planned research outcomesAssist in preparing or contributing to the preparation of refereed journal publications, conference and seminar papers arising from the researchUnder direction from the Professorial Lead, provide advice to post graduate students in the appointee's area of expertiseUndertake administrative duties associated with relevant research projects, as required from time to timeEssential Skills and ExperienceA bachelor degree in an appropriate Science or Engineering area relevant to the research areaEvidence of high quality research output commensurate with the length of research career, which is published and presented in appropriate forumsExcellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated through written work such as research reports, research publications and educational materials, and through effective liaison with external partners, colleagues and studentsAbility to plan and execute testing and research with stakeholdersAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a research teamCultureAt the University of South Australia, we value workplace diversity and are committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and respectful work environment for all people.For a copy of the position description and to apply, please visit Working at UniSA.
