We're currently partnered with Smiling Mind, a charity that champions mental health and wellbeing through proactive mental health exercise. They are looking to bring on a Research Assistant for a 6-month internship on a part-time (3 days per week) basis, assisting their Research Manager through conducting Literature Reviews, Data Analytics and Reporting, and preparing Research Proposals.
This role will suit a young person that is a recent graduate, or someone about to graduate, from a psych science, mental health, clinical research or another related field. Prior knowledge within end-to-end research and evaluation is necessary from prior or current study.
Work you'll be completing: Literature reviews: Conducted to increase our knowledge base across mental fitness skills, the needs and preferences of our audiences, and methods of delivering digital programs.
Data analysis and reporting: Collect data for product and program evaluation and population research. The application of this data is multifaceted and often can be used to generate insights beyond usual reporting.
Research proposals: Explore the theory that underpins their work, audience discovery, product behavioural science and design, and evaluation of products and programs. Engage in a gap analysis to view where research efforts should be placed and to design a proposal or research framework that may answer these questions.
What we're looking for: Ability to use and analyse data using software and dashboarding toolsStrong capacity to work independently in order to plan, prioritise and deliver multiple projects at once.A strong interest in mental health, digital health, and evidence-based program delivery is essential.You should have experience with, or a strong interest in, conducting literature reviews, analysing qualitative and quantitative data, and developing research proposals.You'll need to approach data collection and analysis with a high degree of accuracy and be able to spot trends and patterns that others may miss.The ability to convey research findings in clear, compelling formats such as reports, blog posts, and infographics is a must.You'll be working in a team and often collaborating with external partners, including universities and organizations.
