Research Assistant About you As a Research Assistant, you will be instrumental in us achieving or exceeding our research objectives.
You might have just graduated, or currently be working in research coordination, project management, academic support, or similar roles and are eager to apply your skills and experience to make a significant contribution to our field.

The role We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to investigate the mechanisms of heart rhythm disturbances using stem cell-based disease models.
The role involves hands-on lab work, including cell culture and tissue engineering with opportunities to contribute to functional assessment and data analysis.
What we will trust you with Culture of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) Differentiation of iPSC to cardiac cell lineages (eg.
cardiomyocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblasts) Automation of cell culture processes Production of engineered tissue constructs Purchasing, ordering, and organizing shipments as needed Involvement with lab maintenance and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Does this sound like you?
BSc with Honours in a relevant discipline Minimum 1 year of mammalian cell culture, specifically iPSC Experience of robotics/automation platforms or bioreactors Excellent organizational and time management skills Basic data analysis and presentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Ability to balance multiple projects and responsibilities effectively Willingness and motivation to gain relevant research expertise and learn new techniques and methods quickly About us The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute (the Institute) is dedicated to finding cures for cardiovascular disease and is one of the most respected heart research facilities in the world.
