About the role: This new 12 month fixed term position will join the Cybercrime Squad to help conduct a major piece of academic quality evaluation research into repeat victimisation, which is funded by the National Cybercrime Capability Fund.
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of and reports to the Manager Analyst, Cybercrime Intelligence team within the Cybercrime Squad. The position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the Police Research Unit. Training for internal systems will be provided.

Your duties will include: Assisting with finalising the research design and materials. Assisting with obtaining approvals for the research, including ethics approval. Conducting data collection (interviews and survey) and analysis. Other research work as required. As the successful applicant, you will have: Research experience demonstrating appropriate research techniques and methods. Demonstrated ability to prepare plain language, academic quality research reports. Experience or knowledge relevant to cybercrime issues (eg, recent work or study in a field addressing cybercrime) Requirements and relevant information: One full-time, fixed term position for 12 months from commencement. This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen. The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
