Clinical/Medical Research (Healthcare & Medical)Full timeAbout the College:The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) is the leading standards body responsible for the training and education of specialists and GP obstetricians in obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia and New Zealand.RANZCOG is committed to the establishment and maintenance of the highest possible standards of practice in women's health and provides programs in training, accreditation and continuing professional development (CPD) that are responsive to the evolving health care needs of women.RANZCOG supports research into women's health and acts as an advocate for women's healthcare by forging productive relationships with individuals, the community and professional organisations, both locally and internationally.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Dean of Research and Policy, ED, Membership and Engagement and Chair, Women's Health Committee to develop and progress a list of priorities from the Women's Health committee/Board.Line management for the Research and Policy Lead and support for the Research and Policy team in the end-to-end development of clinical content (comprising guidelines, statements, policy documents, and consumer resources).Line management for the Women's Health Administration Officer and facilitate the operations of the Women's Health Committee.Guide the Women's Health Administration Officer and support the Committee Chair with enquiries related to Research and Policy matters, in consultation with the broader Research and Policy Team.Manage the production of clinical content that follows a standardised structure, ensuring appropriate guidance is produced for both Australia and New Zealand.Plan and manage the implementation and dissemination of evidence-based clinical guidelines and related information through peer-reviewed scientific publications, O & G Magazine and communication channels (Connect, social media), and events (such as webinars/presentations, scientific meetings and symposiums).Manage the Research and Policy team input into college submissions on Women's Health and related topics.Support the submission of funding proposals and assist with the contract management and project management of funded projects related to clinical content development.Additional tasks as directed by the Dean of Research and Policy, and Deputy CEO/ED, Membership and Engagement.Ko wai koe | About you - Key Selection CriteriaDemonstrated experience in working in research and policy development.Demonstrated experience in managing teams, facilitating a positive team culture and providing guidance on day-to-day operations.Demonstrated expertise in guideline development and research methods including critical appraisal of evidence, systematic reviewing and meta-analysis, and experience with the evidence-grading system.Ability to gather data, analyse, critique and synthesise complex information, as evidenced by relevant experience and/or academic qualifications.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, to cater to a broad range of stakeholders.A proactive and innovative approach to managing issues and developing solutions.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, individuals and groups, whilst maintaining positive relationships.Previous experience in having developed or implemented local guidelines.An interest in and commitment to issues concerning women's health, an interest in health education, and a positive attitude towards developing further skills in an educational setting.Demonstrated behavioural capabilities, knowledge, and experiences consistent with our Organisational Values and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.Ka whiwhi koe i te aha | What you will get in returnWorking at RANZCOG means enjoying a strong sense of purpose and engaging in meaningful work every day.
