Diabetes Victoria seeks a dedicated Research and Evaluation Officer – Lived Experience to support our research and evaluation projects. This role aligns with Diabetes Victoria's strategic goals which are focused on enhancing the voice of lived experience in contributing to research and evaluation. In this role, you will draw on your experience of diabetes and your research and/or evaluation skills to drive meaningful research advancements that meet the needs of the community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with the Community and Research Engagement Lead to support external researchers in incorporating community engagement into their research, promoting Diabetes Victoria's community-led research model.
• Coordinate and contribute to community-led research and evaluation projects.
• Develop resources through lived experience co-creation and support funding opportunities for research programs.
• Support internal and external evaluation projects through qualitative and quantitative data analysis and report writing.
• Prepare feedback summaries and reports on lived experience research for internal stakeholders.
• Serve as a lived experience ambassador for stakeholder engagement and empowerment.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, as well as lived experience and familiarity with the diabetes community, is required.
• Previous experience with research or evaluation projects is mandatory.
• Understanding of access and equity principles is desirable.
• Strong project management and research/evaluation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
