About the roleReporting to the General Manager, the primary purpose of this position is consulting with a range of stakeholders including, employers, business owners, individuals, RTO's, trainers and assessors in order to ensure 'best practice' research is achieved.
What you'll be doingInvestigate barriers relating to the uptake of new and revised units of competency, qualifications and skills set by RTOs and industry.Consider and understand the implications and complexities relating to training delivery/uptake in rural and regional catchments for both RTOs and industry.Development of resources for training providers, trainers, assessors and employers to improve training and assessment practices, including in-workplace assessment and support tools.Identify, research and communicate on potential and current issues between stakeholders to ensure sufficient background information for Committees to make decisions on work outputs and priorities, and to assist in the successful delivery of project outcomes.Pathway and Vocational Education and Training mapping, including Digital Capability Framework and Occupation Profiling.Analyse research findings both quantitatively and qualitatively to identify constraints to delivery of new and revised units of competency, qualifications and skill sets and the opportunities, triggers and motivators that support viable delivery.Managing industry reference committees.Gathering information for and preparation of skills reports.Maintain an effective working relationship with industry stakeholders.Provide written progress reports as required.Develop communiques to share findings to executive management team, other audiences such as RTO's, industry, and policy makers.What we're looking forTo be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
A strong understanding of the national and Victorian vocational and technical education system, its stakeholders and clients, and its role in shaping Australia's skills development, including working knowledge of relevant standards and policies.High level ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and communicate and negotiate persuasively, both orally and in writing, with a diverse range of people.Experience undertaking research, data analysis, technical writing and corporate/government reporting.Strong writing skills that demonstrate attention to detail, excellent grammar, and punctuation.Excellence in proofreading and editing.Capacity to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team to deliver outcomes and solve problems.Adaptability and effective management of change as well as an ability to be self-sufficient and to self-manage.Sound knowledge and skills in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and email.What we offerAt ForestWorks, we are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that empowers our employees to thrive.
We offer a range of benefits and perks, including:
