We're looking for a research analyst (Associate Director level) to join UBS' Australian Resources equities research team to:
conduct valuation analysis across the diverse sector that is resourcesconvert industry knowledge into understandable investment opinionsbuild and maintain financial models to evaluate historical information and generate projectionsprovide investment recommendations based on modelling, valuation and risk assessmentsremain current on market developments to help frame investment strategiesYour team
You'll be working in the Australian Equities Research team in Melbourne.
We provide investment insights to domestic and international institutional investors on the Resources sector and are consistently rated as one of the top research teams in Australia across Diversified Mining (BHP, RIO etc), Gold & Base Metals, Lithium & Rare Earths and Commodities sectors.
As a research analyst in the Resources Team at UBS, you'll play an important role analysing industry dynamics and providing investment recommendations to a wide range of institutional clients while leveraging UBS' market leading platform.
Your expertise
ideally 5+ years of experience in a sell-side research role, accounting, consulting practice or mining/exploration companyhave successfully built and maintained financial valuation modelsA keen interest in mineral commodity supply, demand and longer term industry trends including decarbonizationconfident ability to review and interpret annual reports and financial statementsadept at both verbal and written communication of fundamental views in an articulate and confident mannerinquisitive, organized and able to work independently.About us
