The South Western Sydney Nursing and Midwifery Research Alliance (SWS NMRA) is seeking a Research Administrative Assistant to provide high-quality administrative support to our Chair, and research team.In this pivotal role, you will:Support the Chair and research staff in administrative tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.Assist in developing efficient administrative systems that will support the unit as it grows.Contribute to a vibrant research environment within the team and across projects.What We're Looking For:Proven administrative experience, ideally in a research unit or medical research institute.A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong organizational skills.A commitment to professionalism and excellence in supporting research activities.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team dedicated to advancing nursing and midwifery research.
If you're ready to make an impact and support groundbreaking work in healthcare, we would love to hear from you!Apply today and be a part of our mission to support innovative research in South Western Sydney!What You'll be Doing The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional and high-quality administrative support to the Director/Manager and other staff members within the team including the project officer and research staff.The Research Administrative Officer has the overall day-to-day management responsibility in supporting the research unit and is responsible for the implementation of administrative processes necessary for smooth running of the office.
Importantly, this position will act as a first point of contact for senior members of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, universities, plus a range of contacts at all levels from all research stakeholders and hospital staff liaising with the medical team.The Research Administrative Officer is required to assist in the development of effective and efficient administrative systems that will be necessary as the research unit grows.How to Apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
View our application guide for information on how to respond to criteria and improve your application.Completion of a Certificate IV level qualification or a combination of relevant education/training and/or extensive experience in a similar role.Demonstrated high level experience in the use of all Microsoft Office software with excellent data entry and attention to detail.Demonstrated experience in office management and administration skills.Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work and complete tasks within tight timeframes.Demonstrated high level written communication skills, preferably with previous experience in the preparation of research grant applications or other complex documents.High level of verbal communication skills at various levels.Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement with regard to the release of information on confidential matters.Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment with minimal supervision.Additional InformationSalary Packaging South Western Sydney Local Health District employees are able to enjoy the benefits of salary packing.
