We are seeking an experienced Requirements Engineer to join a pioneering Defence Maritime program in Sydney, focused on cutting-edge autonomous technology and robotics. You will play a critical role in defining and managing the requirements that drive the development and execution of next-generation maritime solutions.
As part of a dynamic team, you will provide specialist engineering support, ensuring that defence projects meet their technical and operational goals. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the definition and management of requirements for Defence maritime projects, ensuring they align with project goals and technical standards.Provide specialist engineering support during design and development phases, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met.Contribute to the development of autonomous technology and robotics, driving innovation in maritime solutions.Support the system design process, ensuring that requirements are properly translated into technical specifications.Use DOORS to manage and track requirements throughout the project lifecycle.Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and integration of requirements into the overall project.Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience in defining and managing requirements for complex Defence or maritime projects.Extensive experience with DOORS is essential.Experience in Defence maritime projects with an understanding of relevant technologies.Strong ability to provide engineering support during the development and execution of design activities.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and ensure project requirements are delivered on time.Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and with stakeholders at all levels.Must have a current NV1 security clearance or higher.Eligibility RequirementsAustralian Citizenship: Due to the nature of the role, Australian citizenship is required.Security Clearance: Must hold an active NV1 Defence security clearance or higher. #J-18808-Ljbffr
