Reporting & Compliance Manager required for a Not-For-Profit Aboriginal Medical ServiceDrive Close the Gap by providing comprehensive reports to funding bodiesFull time, Monday to Friday, located in ToowoombaOrganisation Overview Established in 2002, Carbal Medical Services (Carbal) is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation dedicated to delivering comprehensive health services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Toowoomba and Warwick regions.
With a strong focus on culturally appropriate care, Carbal operates two medical practices and a wide range of outreach programs to support the health and wellbeing of First Nations people across the Darling Downs, Southern Downs, and Goondiwindi regions.

Position Overview The Reporting and Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that Carbal's programs and services adhere to regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
This position is responsible for interpreting and applying contract terms, tracking project outcomes, and delivering comprehensive, data-driven reports that meet compliance and funding objectives.
Carbal's success is built on our transparent and strong relationships with funding bodies, and the Reporting and Compliance Manager is key to maintaining these relationships by providing regular, outcome-focused reports that showcase the quality and impact of our work.
This exciting role works closely with executives and project personnel, capturing and presenting the measures and successes that contribute to Closing the Gap.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities Review and simplify contractual obligations into a workable reporting framework for staff.Collaborate with managers and project personnel to capture data and understand project requirements.Monitor project reports and data monthly, identifying areas for quality improvement.Conduct audits and participate in Quality Management Meetings.Draft action plans, risk management plans, and reports as required by funding bodies.Work across multiple software systems to extract and analyse data, providing comprehensive reports to managers.Maintain a schedule of deadlines to ensure compliance with funding obligations.Ensure timely, accurate submission of reports to meet funding and compliance requirements.Provide quality data for new funding opportunities.Manage the quality management system (Logiqc) to ensure compliance and task completion.Foster collaboration with funding stakeholders through regular meetings and communication.Oversee the feedback and complaints register, ensuring process compliance.Monitor organisational risk, maintaining an ongoing review of risk.Identify opportunities for growth and record improvements in the improvement register.Handle complaints and incidents promptly, ensuring adherence to legislative obligations.Requirements: Ability to interpret and apply contract terms and conditions.Skilled in tracking project objectives and recording both qualitative and quantitative outcomes.High-level proficiency in drafting reports, correspondence, and documentation that meet compliance, funding, and strategic objectives.Proven ability to conduct audits and implement corrective action plans as part of compliance monitoring.High-level proficiency in analysing data to support reporting and compliance efforts.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.Ability to establish and maintain compliance frameworks and reporting mechanisms to meet regulatory requirements.Ability to lead compliance initiatives and train staff on policies and regulations.Must possess or be able to obtain a Blue Card and undergo a Police Check.Tertiary qualifications in business, management, health administration, not necessary but highly regarded.Experience with Best Practice software.You will have a demonstrated understanding of the health and social issues found in our Indigenous Communities.Previous experience working in the Not-For-Profit sector.What We Can Offer You Salary Sacrificing Options: Increase your take-home pay with our salary sacrificing options.Impactful Work: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team making a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Inclusive Environment: Work in a supportive, culturally rich environment that values diversity and inclusivity.Flexible Pay Access: Through our new "Paytime" system, access a portion of your pay as you earn it.Christmas Leave: Enjoy two weeks off over the Christmas period (taken from annual leave and public holiday leave).Free Gym Membership: Stay healthy with access to a gym membership (conditions apply).Employee Assistance Program: Access professional support services to ensure your wellbeing.Annual Uniform Allowance: Receive an allowance to maintain your professional attire.Exclusive Discounts: Benefit from discounts with our tyre service partner.Staff Events: Participate in all-staff events held two to four times a year.Professional Development: Enrol in our comprehensive suite of online professional development courses, developed exclusively by Carbal and nationally accredited with peak bodies.If you're ready to embark on a making a difference and meaningful journey with Carbal Medical Services and contribute to positive health outcomes for First Nations communities, we encourage you to apply!
