The role In this role you will support the organisation by providing meaningful employee lifecycle data and reporting to support the University's needs and strategy.
This role works collaboratively within the P&C Team to coordinate and develop workforce information and reporting for operational and strategic requirements; supporting P&C planning and performance, external and internal compliance reporting.
In this role you will: Provide day-to-day operational reporting, ongoing and adhoc people data reports Maintain and manage the P&C reporting schedule and process, including user and recipient access Conduct business process and system analysis and ensure critical data elements are reliable, consistent and accurate Write, optimise and troubleshoot SQL statements and stored procedures Utilise database technologies such as SQL, Excel, PowerBI, Tableau and other information systems Identify improvement opportunities and apply consistent design principles and necessary controls Collaborate with key stakeholders to coordinate and develop required workforce reporting information Monitor and evaluate trends in reporting and information management, providing recommendations for proactive updates About you You will have the ability to work effectively in a team environment and will have demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing and implementing reporting and data analytics.
In addition, you will have: Proven experience handling day-to-day operational reporting requests from the business.
Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, The ability to analyse and align business requirements, including conceptualising processes and the ability to investigate, identify and evaluate complex issues, then develop and recommend innovative, effective solutions taking account of associated risks and alternatives.
Sound knowledge of HR Systems and an advanced level of computing skills coupled with the ability to organise and present information in a concise and understandable format.
Expertise in SQL, with the ability to write, optimise, and troubleshoot SQL statements and stored procedures.
Experience with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
Strong familiarity with reporting tools and software, including experience in generating custom reports and dashboards that support business decisions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Proficient with SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Ascender preferred and sound knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems.
