Categories : Presenter / Reporter Stunning Toowoomba, QLD Location Fixed Term Contract for Approximately 10 Months Create news stories for the ABC Base salary $81K - 99K (paid on a pro rata basis) The Role We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and experienced reporter to join our dedicated and experienced local team located in Toowoomba Full-time for about 10 months. The role involves some shift and weekend work.
Working together with the local team, you'll create news content for broadcast, social media and online platforms to engage and inform audiences in the region and across the country.
The Job Under general direction of the Editor, and in collaboration with colleagues, create content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences. Present news bulletins, Q&As, interviews and packages across all platforms, including breaking stories. Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required. In collaboration with colleagues identify and develop local content that can be shared with other content teams in News and across the ABC on multiple platforms. About You We are seeking a Reporter with demonstrated moderate experience in delivering breaking and original content for multiple platforms.
You'll have : Accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement. Excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in an open and collaborative approach to work within the Regional office and other teams and departments. Demonstrated understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local and regional audience. A demonstrated and ongoing interest and passion in finding and telling stories that reflect Australia's diversity.
