Reporting to the Editor ABC Tropical North, the role will involve: Creating accurate, concise and clear digital news content. Delivering digital news content across multiple online platforms. Delivering original stories with impact, to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences. Contributing to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan. The position is based in Mackay but serves a region including Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays, the mining region west to Moranbah and Dysart and agricultural areas south to Sarina and St Lawrence. About You You are a highly motivated reporter with a strong knowledge of local and national news issues. Your skills and experience include: Creative digital storytelling ability. Sound editorial skills and judgment. Strong understanding of the issues that affect and interest the diverse local audience.
