Build strong engagement with local audiencesFull-time, PermanentHobart Location$90K to $96K plus 15.4% ABC Nominated SuperAbout the Role In this role you will report, produce and present News bulletins, interviews and audio and video packages across all platforms, including breaking News and Rural content. When required you will also work with the newsroom leadership team to commission reporters and field operators to provide coverage of distinctive content for all state and network programs and platforms. 
You will also:
Break stories and contribute original ideas and angles to editorial discussions whilst developing ideas using professional contacts and networks. Write and produce stories that demonstrate advanced journalistic craft. Keep current with production software, reporting tools and advances in production techniques. Generate stories that are relevant to a broad section of Australians and reflect the cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity of the country. About You We are seeking a dedicated Reporter with experience as a live presenter, producer and cross-platform news reporter, covering breaking news and generating original stories. You will have a good understanding of TAS issues and events as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
Advanced skills with relevant software, production systems and reporting tools.A solid understanding of social media as a newsgathering and storytelling tool.Understanding of content strategy and audience demands across platforms. Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities where editorially relevant.For further details on the role and requirements, please refer to the full position description:  30001205 REPORTER.pdf We would love to see your work. Please submit material with your application online (include examples, links to websites or attach audio/video files up to 5MB).
