About the RoleBring your creativity and your ability to find and tell great stories and join the team at Coffs Harbour as a news reporter. Under direction of the Editor, and in collaboration with colleagues you will be involved in: Leaving the office to pursue breaking news. Creating content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences. Producing and presenting news content, Q&A's, interviews and packages across all platforms, including breaking stories.Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences. In collaboration with colleagues, identify and develop local content that can be shared with other content teams and across the ABC on multiple platforms. About YouAre you passionate about news and have proficient editorial skills? You will have a passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community. This exciting opportunity will allow you to use your tertiary qualifications in journalism or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience in sourcing and analysing information and exercising reliable judgement. You will also have: An understanding of the important issues for our diverse Coffs Coast audience.Demonstrated experience in delivering breaking news and original content across multiple platformsGood time management and communication skills. A current drivers license is essential.
