This is a very special opportunity!The JobWorking as part of our team, and under routine direction of the Editor, you will:Create content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences.Produce and present news bulletins, interviews, and packages, including breaking stories.Contribute to planning and commissioning of new content ideas for audience engagement.Identify and develop local content for sharing with other News teams at ABC.Generate stories reflecting Australia's cultural, geographic, and socio-economic diversity.Engage with communities to find and tell relevant stories aligned with News strategy.About YouDo you have good editorial instincts, with experience in crafting stories that set the next day's agenda?
To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate:Tertiary qualifications in journalism or equivalent experience.Experience delivering breaking and original content on multiple platforms.Strong editorial skills for sourcing and analysing information.Understanding of local audience issues.Passion for authentic content representing Australia's diversity, including Indigenous communities.Ongoing interest in diverse storytelling and proven ability to maintain community contacts.You will also need to possess a current and valid Driver's LicencePosition description: 504481 - REPORTER.pdfWe would love to see your work.
