About the RoleAs a Repair Coordinator at AJ Grant Building, you will be a key player in the end-to-end repair management of insurance claims allocated to our company, with a specific focus on coordinating small repairs to residential homes.
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective execution of repair processes, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Act as a liaison between insurance companies, customers, and internal teams for small-scale repair projects.Establish and maintain relationships with customers, insurers, and trade contractors.Communicate repair plans, timelines, and progress clearly to all relevant parties.Coordinate with internal teams to allocate resources for small repairs and maintenance tasks.Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment needed for residential repairs.Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that small repairs meet industry standards.Perform general administration duties related to repair coordination.Monitor trade workload, performance, and availability.Allocate repairs accordingly based on trade capacity and expertise.Address repair issues promptly and collaborate with management on major issues.Flag stagnant claims and take proactive measures to resolve them.Schedule job repairs efficiently and update insurance companies as required.Review scope of works and costing before purchasing orders to contractors.Check supplier invoices, pursue variation approvals, and manage the closing and invoicing of jobs.Make accurate notes on our company workflow system (BuildPRO).Update supplier systems and ensure staff awareness of the claim's stage.Arrange make safes as required in emergency situations.Perform other reasonable duties as directed by management.About YouExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail while managing a high volume of work.Highly motivated and results-oriented.Ability to problem-solve.Ability to work well in a team environment.Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.Strong organisational and time management skills.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once in a busy and diverse environment.Strong competency in all Microsoft Office applications, iOS applications, and web/cloud-based portals.Advanced listening and communication skills.Trade and/or technical background would be an advantage.A broad knowledge of personal insurance and/or domestic building construction and repairs would be an advantage.What We Can Offer YouAt AJG Australia, we have built a culture that looks after people, their families, and their futures.
