The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technician to join our team at Weatherford Malaga, Perth.
Reporting to the R&M Management, this permanent full-time role will be responsible for the inspection, testing, qualification, repair, and maintenance of field tools and equipment.
This position is crucial to ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, data acquisition systems, downhole tools, and communication equipment.
Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, retrofit, and upgrades on various equipment types Conduct thorough inspections and testing using precision measuring instruments and testing devices Lead and oversee maintenance tasks carried out by other R&M employees Participate in daily operations and safety meetings, including toolbox talks and Job Hazard Analysis Troubleshoot complex issues across a wide range of equipment and systems Maintain accurate documentation through Work Orders, forms, and relevant databases Support LEAN initiatives and participate in continuous improvement programs Order parts and supplies according to company guidelines Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, especially when working with hazardous materials Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders Requirements 0-2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry High School Diploma Basic computer skills Strong mathematical aptitude Understanding of NDT, NDE, and ATEX policies & principles Proven ability in equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and quality control Physical capability to meet role demands Strong communication and documentation abilities Ability to work both independently and as part of a team The Rewards Opportunity for career growth and skill development Work with industry-leading technology and equipment Comprehensive training and development programs Supportive team environment Focus on safety and professional development Contact Us We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
