About your new role:
Our Operations division within Renewables and Embedded Generation has multiple permanent opportunities for a Renewable Technician to join the team located in Brisbane North . This position will be part of the workforce that will be directly involved in the delivery of renewable and energy storage initiatives , which will enable the progressive change to the industry and our network.
As a Renewables Technician you will focus on testing, commissioning, and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems. You will perform remote diagnostics, manage system backups, and oversee safe and efficient restoration of facilities after breakdowns. You will be involved in the end-to-end product lifecycle, including production line assembly through to installation on the network. Your responsibilities include developing risk control measures, handling the installation, repair, testing, and commissioning of equipment, initiate investigations, and produce technical reports.
The remuneration for your new role starts from $128k + 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of your knowledge, skills and competencies required in the position.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will have strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge of testing & commissioning techniques in the Electricity Supply Industry on Network Primary Plant, Communications, Protection Scheme's and Control Systems will be valuable as well as a desirable knowledge of Renewable and Energy Storage technologies.
Critical to your success in the role is your: Trade qualification with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence or equivalent. AQF Level 6 (Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree) recognised qualification in the relevant field or currently studying. Demonstrated knowledge of the operation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of renewable and energy storage assets, protection, HV primary plant, control systems & secondary systems. Availability to participate in call out/emergency work and overtime as required. This position will be required to travel intrastate. You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical.
