About the TeamWithin our Queensland Property practice, we have a team led by Partner Ron Eames and Special Counsel Grace Wimberley who work with our clients across a range of capital transactions, energy transition projects, waste and hydrogen projects, and finance transactions (project, corporate, and property).
The clients the team works with include international and domestic renewable energy developers, listed real estate investment trusts, large commercial property owners, property developers, and hotel and resort owners.
The team has seen excellent growth in recent times, and as such, we are looking to add further to the team.
About the RoleWe are now looking for an experienced lawyer to join the team to take the lead on the renewable energy work that the team undertakes.

Examples of the work undertaken by the team include:
Land acquisitions and other tenure arrangements for energy transition/renewable energy projects including wind, solar & battery and waste to hydrogen projectsDrafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements for significant capital and corporate M&A transactions, including those involving renewable energy projectsEnvironmental offset arrangementsInfrastructure agreementsRegulatory approvalsForeign Investment approval advice and applicationsWhilst a Brisbane-based role, you can expect to be involved in transactions across Australia.
Given the nature of the role, we are seeking someone who will build strong relationships with existing clients while also wishing to continue to develop and grow the practice.

About YouThe ideal candidate will already be operating at SA level and will possess some, if not all, of the following:
Experience practising as a renewable energy lawyer (including exposure to property work and a willingness to assist as required)Strong drafting skillsExcellent commercial acumenExposure to running files alongside senior lawyers as well as autonomouslyKeen interest in mentoring and training team membersYou must be comfortable working closely with clientsAn eagerness to get involved with industry events and business development opportunitiesCapable of juggling multiple matters and prioritising effectivelyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsWho We AreHolding Redlich is a large national commercial law firm with offices across Australia.
