Project types include Commercial, Industrial, and Residential High-End (Bespoke & High-Rise up to 14 levels).It operates across Civil, Structural, and Remedial Engineering disciplines. The remedial design team works fluidly with the remedial design teams in its other offices. Mentoring happens with everybody despite location.The company has a wellness program which includes investment in external education courses, paid leave days for hitting your work anniversary, and the option to work a compressed 9-day fortnight.About the roleReporting to the Director, this is a great opportunity for a Remedial Team Leader or Senior Remedial Engineer looking to step up, who relishes working on a variety of projects.We are seeking an outgoing, ambitious Engineer with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and high proficiency in report writing and documentation.You will manage and mentor a team that performs site inspections and identifies building defects such as waterproofing issues, cracks, and other structural defects. You will provide design solutions and compile reports.The role offers the opportunity to undertake a range of responsibilities that will include site visits, forensic investigations, building inspections, documentation/photographs, writing reports, specifications, and major defect rectification/problem resolution.The ideal candidate will be able to lead and inspire a Remedial Engineering team of 4 people, deliver tender documentation to a high standard, and collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and contractors.Key Responsibilities, Skills and QualificationsPerforms investigative works on-site for structural assessmentUndertakes remedial analysis/designsPreparation of technical scopes of work and tender packages, management of the tender process, collation and analysis of tenders received, preparation of tender analysis report, preparation of contract documentation, and contract administrationBuild and maintain professional relationships with building owners, property managers, and stakeholders through the life of the project to ensure all deliverables are met within agreed timeframesEnsure that work meets quality system and client requirements, as well as complying with Australian standards, codes, and industry regulationIdeally a minimum of 7-10 years of Remedial Engineering experienceBachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a building construction related degreeProven knowledge in using software for structural analysis and designStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team (and collaboratively across functional groups)The ability to motivate, manage, and mentor a team of Junior EngineersFull working rights in AustraliaBenefits:Established team and business, with a supportive environmentStrong focus on company cultureAn employee wellness programA career company, somewhere where you can really feel that your achievements are being rewardedEncouragement for personal development and career growth/plansSydney CBD office locationFlexible work arrangements including a 9-day working fortnightHow to applyPlease submit a full professional resume highlighting your experience with the above criteria to ****** or call Alex Stephen on 0488778004 for a confidential chat.
