About This RoleUtilise your coordination and facilitation expertise to provide support and advice to the Corrections Victoria branch.Fixed-Term (until 30/06/2026), Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service.VPS Grade 3: $76,817 - $93,274 plus superannuation.About UsCorrections Victoria is responsible for the implementation of policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.Corrections Victoria also sets strategy, policy and standards for the management of the state's system of correctional facilities whilst also developing programs for the management and rehabilitation of prisoners and the community-based supervision of offenders.Department of Justice and Community Safety is building a new maximum-security prison, which is due to commence operations in the near future. The prison is an essential part of the government's commitment to improving community safety and will be built near the existing HM Barwon Prison, Marngoneet Correctional Centre and Karreenga (the annex to Marngoneet). With these four prisons in proximity, Corrections Victoria has committed to establishing the Barwon Precinct, which will see shared operating models developed between these prisons to improve prisoner outcomes and create efficiencies.About The RoleThe role will be responsible for promoting, coordinating program scheduling, increasing participation and engagement in programs and services and documenting attendance. In consultation with Custodial staff, Vocational Services and other internal/external service providers, the Remand Program Facilitator will ensure service needs are identified, planned for and met.The Remand Program Facilitators will collect and collate data, maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports regarding performance and service delivery against set targets and outcomes. The Remand Program Facilitator role will meaningfully contribute to the achievement of both regional and Corrections Victoria priorities.Some Of Your Duties Will IncludeCoordinating and facilitating the delivery of the suite of Remand Programs, including ATLAS at the prison location, both individually and in conjunction with service delivery providers, including co-facilitation with stakeholders and partners.Consulting and liaising with Prison staff, Vocational Services and contracted program providers in relation to program delivery requirements, service linkage and collaboration opportunities.Monitoring program referrals to ensure adherence to the remand service delivery model.About YouAs an ideal candidate, you will possess:Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Demonstrated understanding of the issues and the diverse needs of the remanded male prisoner population.Experience preparing, planning and delivering programs.Experience in and/or understanding of working within a correctional environment.Excellent computer program skills, such as Excel for data management.QualificationsExpertise in programs and service delivery/coordination within a correctional environment is highly desirable.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
