This includes individuals in the northwest and western parts of Victoria.About the roleThis is a leave cover position for an experienced Genetic Counsellor to join our clinical team and provide high quality, timely care to our patients.A regular day will see you:Provide high-quality genetic counselling to patients referred to the Clinical Genetics Service (face-to-face or telehealth) including assessment, planning, facilitation of testing, monitoring and follow up.Provide high-quality bereavement care for patients of the genetics service undergoing termination of pregnancy.Provide prompt assessment and triage of newly referred patients within expected key performance indicators set for the team/role.About youWe are looking for a Genetic Counsellor with previous clinical experience who can join an established team within our busy clinical service. Previous experience in a perinatal or reproductive genetic service is desirable but not essential.You'll bring with you:You will have full registration with HGSA.Broad knowledge and understanding of genetic counselling, including medical, genetic and psychosocial aspects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Competent computer literacy including use of standard Microsoft Office software.Previous experience with an EMR is desirable.At the Women's, you will enjoy a culture that is collaborative, supportive and passionate about learning.
