Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.Come and be a part of this success.About the RoleBased in Mackay, this role offers the opportunity to join our team as a Reliability Engineer and play a pivotal role in driving maintenance performance, defect elimination, and continuous improvement in our Operations Services.In this dynamic role, you'll work across a national footprint to deliver exceptional outcomes in machine rebuilds and component overhauls.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the quality, efficiency, and timely delivery of component rebuilds and machine overhauls to meet operational requirements.Analyse condition monitoring and inspection data to identify trends and implement improvement initiatives.Develop and maintain operating standards, procedures, and work instructions specific to rebuild activities.Lead defect elimination efforts and root cause analysis to enhance component reliability and performance.Drive continuous improvement projects to optimise rebuild shop processes, tools, and workflows while ensuring safety compliance.About YouWe're seeking a skilled professional with:A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade and industry experience.Proven experience in component rebuilds and machine rebuilds, with a deep understanding of maintenance processes.Expertise in defect elimination, root cause analysis (RCA), and developing maintenance strategies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement.Proficiency in Work Management processes in SAP, reliability software, and Six Sigma methodologies.Excellent leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities effectively.Your ability to build relationships across teams and drive improvements will make you a strong asset to our team.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
