In this role, you will report to both the Engineering Superintendent and the Maintenance Superintendent, working on an 8:6 roster.
Your focus will be on improving equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability by reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and analysing the condition and performance of critical equipment to optimise maintenance strategies, recommend upgrades, and enhance reliability.Identifying and prioritising repairs, upgrades, and technical actions to resolve reliability issues, while addressing the root causes of failures for critical assets.Assisting with the design, planning, installation, and commissioning of new plant equipment or modifications.Collaborating with planners and other teams to enhance maintenance processes, inspection frequencies, and overall equipment effectiveness.Ensuring compliance with engineering standards, statutory maintenance requirements, and company policies.Driving cost-effective maintenance practices, contributing to budget preparation, and identifying opportunities for capital investments.About You Our ideal candidate will have strong experience in engineering roles focused on fixed plant within mineral processing plants, including expertise in reliability engineering.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering.Strong knowledge of failure analysis and a comprehensive understanding of root cause analysis (RCA) methodology.Expertise in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.Familiarity with registerable plant and duty-of-care equipment compliance requirements.Proficiency in using ERP systems such as Pronto.A current C class driver's licence (manual).About 29Metals and Golden Grove 29Metals is an ASX-listed mining company that produces copper and other base and precious metals critical to the global energy transition.
