Discover Your Next Role As a Reliability Engineer within our Electrical Instrumentation Control (EIC) Team, your primary role will involve formulating site strategies, plans, and objectives aimed at optimising assets to enhance sugar cane crushing and sugar recovery operations across our eight North Queensland factories and Bioethanol Distillery.
This is a full-time position offering flexibility in location, with the possibility of being stationed at any of our milling sites, supplemented by occasional travel to other locations as needed.
You could be in Ingham - a charming town known for its vibrant Italian heritage and lush wetlands, the Burdekin region - celebrated for its rich agricultural landscape and friendly community, or Sarina - nestled in the beautiful Whitsunday region, renowned for its stunning beaches and proximity to the Great Barrier Reef.
Your Role in Action Assisting in the development and management of all strategic aspects of the EIC strategy area including production, engineering, productivity, quality control, human resources and safety.
Assisting with the preventative maintenance and capital program budget determination including contribution to cost management.
Development of long-term asset goals, establishing and executing asset maintenance and replacement strategies, to ensure achievement of revenue generation and cost control objectives Assisting in consultation with the Engineering and Operational management teams to develop and implement YED business plans and objectives.
Reviewing operational and financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement control methods to ensure best practice leads to business benefits.
Identification of risks and development and execution of focused risk management strategies.
Working closely with the Group Managers for Reliability, Engineering and Production and Technology to develop long term factory and capital plans, goals and strategies Assisting with the investigation process for root cause of equipment failures.
Investigate new and alternative technologies to reduce costs and to solve known reliability concerns.
Ensuring compliance with reliability processes, work management practices, procedures and technical standards related to Continuous Improvement Your Winning Combination Our ideal candidate will hold a degree in Engineering or be able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience with at least 5 years in a senior technical role in heavy industry, and RPEQ certification.
Previous experience within the sugar industry and proficiency in SAP software will be highly regarded.
Ideally you will be familiar with systems such as SAP and will demonstrate competency with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Predictive Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Availability Maintainability Analysis (RAM), and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
