About the Role Location: The position offers the flexibility of hybrid work between your home and our Melbourne office.
Team Background: This is a newly created position within our Innovation team who are focused on driving research and development projects as well as supporting the broader engineering team to help solve challenges and develop innovative solutions for our global customers.
Who we're looking for: An individual who has held leadership positions within high-growth battery technology environments across the globe. They will have a deep understanding of battery energy storage in both mobile and stationary applications and be experienced in working with large-scale energy storage, as well as the thermal analysis and design of cooling systems for battery packs.
Working within an ambitious team, the ideal candidate will have strong experience in strategic planning, people management, managing patent portfolios, and will have previously provided meaningful contributions to investor relations and fundraising processes.
What you'll be doing: Delivering power electronics systems through R&D stage gates Developing power and control circuits, cooling, insulation, EMI management, control and fault management Prioritising and scheduling activities in power electronics development Testing, debugging and evaluating the performance of power electronic systems Contributing to Relectrify's Intellectual property portfolio and providing recommendations towards the technology roadmap Actively contributing to risk mitigation in the safety of people, schedule and product development Contributing to investor relationships, providing technical summaries and presentations Must-have experience: Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and be willing to undergo pre-employment background checks (i.e. working rights, criminal history, and employment references).
Masters/PhD in electrical/electronic engineering 5+ years of industry experience in battery energy storage for mobile and stationary applications Experience in the application of battery science in large scale energy storage Experience in thermal analysis and design of cooling systems for battery packs Experience in the management of patent portfolios Demonstrated leadership in high-growth startup companies Demonstrated contribution to the formation of business plans and investor fundraising Why Relectrify?
